Meet the Teachers
At age 21, while completing a Sociology degree at UCLA (Go Bruins!), she discovered her love for salsa dancing.
Nicole shares her passion for salsa as a performer, competitor and instructor. She is currently the female instructor at Wokcano in Santa Monica, one of the Westside's best dance spots! She has taught at LA Live's Conga Room in Downtown Los Angeles and for Santa Monica's longest running salsa club, Monsoon Cafe. She regularly provides dance lessons for private events with Lululemon Athletica, UCLA Health, Gypset Magazine, Ivy Connect Events and runs Salsa Programs for Google Venice. Nicole has performed in nearly every salsa club in LA along with performances in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. She has choreographed and danced in multiple Latin music videos, but derives most if her joy sharing her love for Salsa and Bachata in her 8-week Dance Programs based in West LA.

INTERNATIONAL DANCE INSTRUCTOR, PERFORMER, COMPETITOR, CHOREOGRAPHER
Danny Kalman has trained celebrities for Dancing With the Stars and other events and has performed, competed, choreographed and taught in the United States, Israel, and Japan. He finally settled in Los Angeles in 2011 to continue his career based from here.
Danny loves to travel and also speaks English, Spanish, Hebrew and Japanese.
Danny also worked as a personal trainer at Equinox Sports Club, which is where he originally spearheaded his salsa dance programs. He applies his knowledge of the body gained through his education as a trainer to his own dance training and to enhancing the training for his students.
Danny’s motto is that “EVERYONE can dance - it doesn’t matter how many ‘left feet’ a person has - they just need to be in the right type of fun, welcoming, and supportive environment.” This is the environment that Danny always strives to create.
Nicole and Danny have over 14 years of combined teaching experience. They teach salsa and bachata out of studios in Studio City, Sherman Oaks, North Hollywood, Santa Monica, Westwood and Valencia. We run two 3-Month Programs that take place Sundays in Santa Monica out of Studio Maesto.
